If Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom doesn’t deliver the level of brutality that you want to see out of dinosaurs in their interactions with humans, well, we have a movie that may.
Uncork’d Entertainment is trying to ride the wave of the upcoming Jurassic World film by releasing a spoof-type move called ‘Jurassic Games’ in a blending of the popular Jurassic Park franchise, the Hunger Games, and The Condemned.
Per the film’s synopsis:
“Starring Ryan Merriman (Final Destination 3) and Perrey Reeves (”Entourage”), the film imagines a world set in the near future wherein ten Death Row convicts are chosen to compete in The Jurassic Games, the ultimate virtual reality game show that pits its players against dinosaurs and each other. However, there is a catch… If you die in the virtual game, you also die in reality; and for Anthony Tucker (Adam Hampton), survival is his one chance to be reunited with his children after having been wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of his wife.
As the devious The Host continues adding improbable challenges, the characters will find the odds stacked against them as only one victor can emerge as winner and reclaim their freedom.”
The trailer is below, and the film hits Digital on June 12th, with a DVD release slated for July 3rd.
Corey Feldman, Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart Starring in ‘Tales from the Dead Zone’
The film is set to arrive in 2020 and it aims to link four terrifying stories together, focusing on a medical examiner who is conducting autopsies on the victims of a car crash, and imagines how they may have lived their lives.
‘The Mummy Rebirth’ Trailer Arrives
If you are big fan of ‘The Mummy’ franchise, then you’ll be happy to check out the new trailer for Uncork’d Entertainment’s ‘The Mummy Rebirth’ which is more like the 90s’ original than the 2017 film.
According to the synopsis:
“Two treasure hunters uncover a sealed tomb and awaken a mummy that has waited years to come back and wipe humanity from the face of the Earth. It’s a race against time as they try to stop the Mummy from wreaking havoc on the modern world.”
The film will hit Digital platforms and DVD on August 13th.
‘Luz’ Arrives in Theaters in July
“Every so often there’s a film that really unnerves, and just flat-out scares us,” Screen Media’s Seth Needle said when the film was acquired. “Luz does exactly that. Tilman has made a beautiful but truly terrifying movie that people are going to be talking about for sure.”
The film arrives, via Screen Media, in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles on July 19th.
