‘Searching’ Plays Out Social Media Nightmare

Actor John Cho is heading right back into the horror genre after starring in FOX’s ‘The Exorcist’ as a possessed father, in the upcoming film ‘Searching’.

In the film, which also stars Debra Messing, Cho frantically searches for clues about his missing daughter’s whereabouts.

The synopsis reads:

“After David Kim’s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.”

The film arrives on August 3rd, and you can check out the trailer below:

A brand new trailer has arrived for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ which gives fans an update on what Egon had been up to in recent years.

According to the official synopsis: “When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”

The movie hits theaters on November 19th, 2021.

‘Halloween Kills’ Clocks Over $4.9 Million from Thursday Night Previews

Michael Myers is making a killing once again during the the Halloween season, but this time ‘Halloween Kills’ was fueled by the film’s increased availability on the Peacock streaming platform in it’s Thursday night previews last night.

According to Deadline, the film clocked $4.98 million during it’s Thursday opening and it’s now on track to “open to mid-to-high $30Ms”, which is a major drop off from the 2018 ‘Halloween’ film that banked a $76 million domestic opening, but still impressive given the current state of theaters and the world.

Shudder Drops Trailer for ‘Horror Noire’

Shudder has released a brand new trailer for ‘Horror Noire’ which is set to arrive on the streaming platform on Thursday, October 28th before heading to AMC at a later date.

The six stories featured in the anthology, which focuses on Black horror stories from Black directors and screenwriters, are: “Daddy,” “Bride Before You,” “Brand of Evil,” “The Lake,” “Sundown” and “Fugue State.”
