FOX has been making a sweeping number of changes in the past few days, axing shows such as ‘The Last Man on Earth’, ‘Brooklyn 99′ and “The Mick’, and now the ax falls on ‘Lucifer’.
Despite some fairly strong ratings, the numbers dipped below 3 million viewers after starting the season with 4 million watchers.
Tom Ellis, who played Lucifier in the series tweeted that, “It has been the most amazing experience over the past 3 years playing Lucifer and falling in love with you, the fans. It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys. #gutted“
