Blumhouse Productions and Amazon have closed an exclusive production deal that will team up the two for a series of eight thriller/darkly-themed feature length productions, which will be made available via direct-to-service on Amazon Prime Video.
Furthermore, an element will link all the films together. Here is a statement on the collaborative project from Blumhouse’s Jason Blum:
“We are delighted Amazon is entrusting Blumhouse to deliver its signature thrills and chills to its global audience through this deal,” Blum said, according to Deadline. “This is a great opportunity for Blumhouse Television to empower underrepresented filmmakers offering a fresh take on the dark genres loved by fans the world over.”
