Warner Bros. reportedly has shut down production on James Wan’s ‘Swamp Thing’ effectively trimming 3 episodes (down to 10 in total) of the upcoming series, according to Star News Online.
“I’m beyond sad. What a terrible decision” series star Virginia Madsen said in an Instagram post, essentially confirming the news. “We have been cut to the core by those who have never set foot into the Swamp.”
The series is set to premier on May 31st, and although the news is a bit disappointing, DC Universe has responded by dropping a trailer.
New ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ Trailer Features The Jangly Man
A brand new trailer for ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ has put The Jangly Man front and center.
Andre Ovredal‘s ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ combines three classic stories from books such as “Me Tie Dough-ty Walker,” “What Do You Come For?” and “Aaron Kelly’s Bones”.
According to the synopsis: “It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying tome.”
The film hits theaters on August 9th.
USA Hypes Season Two of The Purge
USA has dropped the very first promo of the second season of ‘The Purge’, which makes it’s return this fall.
Derek Luke, Max Martini, Paola Nunez, and Joel Allen all star in the new season.
According to Deadline: “Luke will play Marcus Moore, an accomplished professional with a loving wife and a beautiful house whose seemingly perfect life is shattered when an assassin breaks into his house on Purge night.
Martini will portray Ryan Grant. Unassuming yet laser-focused, Ryan spends his entire year precisely preparing for a massive once-a-year Purge heist with his long-time crew.
Nuñez will play Esme Carmona. A top employee at an NFFA surveillance center, Esme has dedicated her life to spotting crimes and digitally tagging lawbreakers.
Allen is Ben. A clean-cut, fraternity member from a middle-class suburban family, Ben’s life changes forever when he goes out on Purge night for the first time.”
‘The Fly’ Star David Hedison Dead at 92
The star of the original version of 1958’s ‘The Fly’, David Hedison, has passed away at the age of 92, according to Deadline.
“Even in our deep sadness, we are comforted by the memory of our wonderful father” the family said in a statement. “He loved us all dearly and expressed that love every day. He was adored by so many, all of whom benefitted from his warm and generous heart. Our dad brought joy and humor wherever he went and did so with great style.”
