‘Sputnik’ Getting an English-Language Remake

Sputnik

One of the better horror films I have seen in the past year or so was the Russian horror flick ‘Sputnik’, which I personally reviewed for Fright Nerd right here. Now, the movie is set to get an English-language remake, according to Deadline.

Originally Directed by Egor Abramenko, the production of the American take on the movie is headed by Matt Reeves along with Village Road Pictures, and XYZ Films.

“Set in the Soviet Union in 1980s during the midst of the Cold War, the film follows a young female doctor who is recruited by the military to assess a cosmonaut who survived a mysterious space accident and returned to Earth with a dangerous organism living inside him.”
