Universal Pictures’ brand new horror ‘M3GAN’ has surpassed initial expectations of a low $20 million box office and made a smashing opening weekend impression with an incredible $30.2 million.
With that, the film records the best opening for an original horror film since Jordan Peele’s Nope and the best opening for a PG-13 horror since A Quiet Place Part II. ‘M3GAN’ also surpassed the strong openings of ‘Scream’ and ‘Smile’.
The success made the obvious even that much more apparent – a sequel is on the way.
