REVIEW: The Wretched

The Wretched

IFC Midnight has delivered yet another horror entry with Brett Pierce and Drew T. Pierce’s ‘The Wretched’ which officially arrived on May 1st.

The film tells the story of : “A defiant teenage boy, struggling with his parent’s imminent divorce, faces off with an old witch who has possessed the neighbor next door.”

From the opening scene to the final credit ‘The Wretched’ keeps you engaged with every dark corner, ever bit of dialogue, and every subtle nuance in every scene. It impressively weaves tense scenes, with a real sense of anxiety as to what lurks in the following moments.

IFC Midnight has built a solid reputation on delivering premium horror content, and while The Wretched may lose some of it’s momentum during the final several minutes, it still shows that IFC Midnight is continuing to deliver some of the best consistent horror.
