Sony Screen Gems has acquired the exclusive life rights of Italian priest Father Gabriele Amorth, who performed a number of exorcisms for the Vatican, according to Deadline.
You may remember Amorth from ‘The Devil and Father Amorth‘, which we cannot wait to review.
The deal includes rights Amorth’s two international bestselling novels “An Exorcist Tells His Story”, and “An Exorcist: More Stories”.
With the deal Screen Gems can now look towards building a movie franchise based on Amorth’s experiences, much like the ‘the Conjuring’ franchise has done with the legacies of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
