Actor David Arquette has had a number of shining moments in the world of horror, most notably with his work on Wes Craven’s ‘Scream’ franchise and the horror-comedy Eight Legged Freaks, and he is returning to the genre once again with the upcoming film ‘High Voltage’.
Per the synopsis:
“A struggling rock band led by washed-out rock star Jimmy Kleen (Arquette) strikes a deal with a cynical record executive (Luke Wilson). Things take a turn when the band’s lead singer Rachel (Allie Gonino) and her controlling stage mother Barb (Perrey Reeves) are struck by lightning and killed.
Rachel is brought back to life, but now lightning courses through her veins and she uses her new powers to drain the life from men and turn it into electrifying stage performances. Her bandmates discover her secret and must decide how far are they are willing to let her go to help them succeed.”
The film will release on October 19th in theaters in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago and Detroit.

Jeffrey Riddick has written ‘The Final Wish’, along with Jonathan Doyle and William Halfon, and directed by Timothy Woodard Jr., is set to arrive on January 24th, 2019.
According to the synopsis:
“The Final Wish is a gothic fairy tale about Aaron, a struggling lawyer, who returns home following the passing of his father, to help his devastated mother and confront his past demons. ‘St. Agatha’ Trailer Gives Glimpse into 1950’s Horror
Darren Lynn Bousman is gearing up for the debut of
Uncork’d Entertainment’s ‘St. Agatha’ which arrives on Digital HD, Theaters, and On Demand on February 8th, 2019.
According to the film’s synopsis:
“Set in the 1950s in small-town Georgia, the film centers on a pregnant con woman named Agatha who is on the run and seeks refuge in a convent. What first starts out as the perfect place to have a child turns into a dark layer where silence is forced, ghastly secrets are masked, and every bit of willpower Agatha has is tested as she learns the sick and twisted truth of the convent and the odd people that lurk inside its halls.”

Rupert Wyatt’s Sci-fi Film ‘Captive State’ Drops Trailer
Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt has just released the trailer for his new sci-fi thriller ‘Captive State’ which had been delayed until early 2019.
Starring John Goodman and Ver Farmiga, the film tells the story of; “Captive State explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.”
