A brand new film in the works called ‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ which will serve as a prequel and tell the untold story told in a chapter of Stephen King’s classic novel that inspired the films, has received an R rating.
The new film is set to arrive exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Brazil on October 6th and in all other Paramount+ international markets shortly thereafter on Saturday, October 7th. There is no word on if it will eventually land on a horror streaming platform as of yet.
The film has been officially rated “R” for – “Horror violence, gore and language.”
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines stars Jackson White (Tell Me Lies, Mrs. Fletcher) Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Jack Mulhern (The Boys in the Boat, “Mare of Easttown”), Henry Thomas (“The Fall of the House of Usher”, Gerald’s Game), Natalie Alyn Lind (“The Goldbergs”, “The Gifted”) and Isabella Star LaBlanc (“True Detective: Night Country”), with Pam Grier (Cinnamon, Jackie Brown) and David Duchovny (“Californication”).
