R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps is set to unveil more tales as a brand new series will be heading to Disney+ this October, making it’s premier on Friday the 13th, and a new short teaser trailer has arrived to hype it’s arrival.
Justin Long, Rachael Harris, Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris and Isa Briones star in the live action series.
According to The Wrap -” The adaptation will launch October 13 on both Disney+ and Hulu with the first five episodes of the series running as part of Disney+’s “Hallowstream” and Hulu’s “Huluween” celebrations. Subsequent installments of the 10-episode series will release weekly. The first two episodes of “Goosebumps” will also air October 13 on Freeform during its “31 Nights of Halloween” programming.”
According to the official rundown outlined by the horror journalists: “Inspired by the book series by R.L. Stine, the Disney+ series centers on a group of high school friends who accidentally unearth a nightmare for themselves as they discover a sinister secret hiding in their town…
“Three decades after a teenage boy named Harold Biddle passed away, the friends throw a Halloween party in his old house, prompting a new haunted reality to come to life. As the kids work together to save their town, they find out some chilling discoveries about their own families.”
